Labor Day Reminders

All Town facilities and offices will be closed on Monday, September 4th in observance of Labor Day. Trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day for all routes during the week of September 4th – 8th (Friday's route will be collected Saturday). Yard Waste collection will run Tuesday - Friday, with as many homes as possible being collected during those four days. We appreciate your patience as crews work on this condensed schedule.

📢 Remember! You can receive push notifications when collection schedules change due to holidays or inclement weather via the 'Apex Collects' mobile or web app!

Apex Launches Community Survey

The town is partnering with Zencity to gather community feedback about what our residents are happy with, where we can improve, and what’s important to you.

If you see the image below as you're scrolling through your feeds over the next few weeks, give it a click! It only takes about five minutes to complete the questions.

Later this month, we'll share a link for all Apex residents to contribute their feedback. These responses will be kept separate, in order for the survey results to remain statistically valid.

More info on survey methods, and our partnership with Zencity, at www.apexnc.org/survey.

Tour of Frights Now Accepting Spooky Spots

We're excited to bring back the popular Tour of Frights! This is a chance for homes and businesses to break out their best Halloween or harvest outdoor decorations, and register to be included on our Tour of Frights map.

How it works: Residents and businesses can sign up to join the Tour by September 29th. We’ll create the Tour of Frights map to share with our community beginning Saturday, October 14th.

Apex Night Out (featuring Touch-a-Truck)

4:30 pm – 7 pm  |  Town Hall Campus

Enjoy an evening that combines everything you love about our annual National Night Out and Touch-a-Truck events!

National Night Out fosters a strong relationship between community members and law enforcement. Typically, National Night Out events are in August, but we host our event in October to beat the summer heat. Come out to see safety information and displays, as well house games and lots of interactive activities.

Touch-a-Truck allows children to get in the driver’s seat with a free hands-on experience with vehicles of all kinds. We will have local representatives and their vehicles from emergency, construction, landscaping, military, transportation, and delivery all in one place! Children will be allowed to touch, climb on, and ask questions about their favorite trucks and cars in a safe and supervised environment.

Visit the event page at www.apexnc.org/nightout

Bricks Available at Apex Service Memorial

As a tribute to those who serve to provide safety and protect our freedoms, both at home and abroad, the Town of Apex constructed a memorial space in the heart of downtown at the corner of Salem Street and Saunders Street.

Paths of engraved bricks radiate out from the center of the monument, forming the foundation of this space. Only 45 blank bricks remain - now through Veteran’s Day, the town is accepting new orders for engraved bricks. These are intended to honor friends or family members who are public safety workers, or who serve or have served in the armed forces. The price per brick is $200 – funds from brick purchases are used solely for the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the memorial area.

Complete the form to place your order before November 11th.

Lake Pine Drive Project Complete

Road work is now complete at Lake Pine Drive! This stretch of road near Apex Community Park is now a three-lane roadway, with new bike lanes and improved sidewalks that make it safer and easier to access the park without your vehicle.
