NCDOT to Close Gilead Road near I-77 to Complete Diverging Diamond Interchange

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will temporarily close a section of Gilead Road near I-77 to facilitate the completion of the new Diverging Diamond Interchange at the intersection. The closure will impact traffic patterns while work is being completed throughout the weekend, and drivers should be aware that the new interchange will be open Monday, November 25. Detours and signage will be in place to guide motorists through alternate routes, and emergency vehicles will maintain access to the area during construction.
