Utility Billing Updates

Third-Party Review Process is Complete: Two documents are now available on the town’s website, concluding the recent Third-Party Review process. The BerryDunn final report along with the corresponding staff response can be found at www.apexnc.org/review.

Changes Coming to Bill Design: The printed utility bill (or digital PDF if you are a paperless customer) was redesigned during the billing software transition in July 2025, with the goal of providing customers with a more complete picture of their utility account. After seeing the new design in practice over the past couple of months, we recognize the need for additional changes that we’ll be working on over the next few weeks. Stay tuned!

Customer Calls & Response Time: Due to the high volume of calls and emails to customer service staff, it can take several days to get a response for more complex questions. Staff is working through a process to resolve issues and return calls as quickly as possible. Learn more from the Town Manager’s regular updates found at www.apexnc.org/billingFAQ.

Leak Detection & Repair

The United States Envoronmental Protection Agency (EPA) reports that 10% of homes have leaks that waste 90 gallons or more per day!

When a water leak goes unnoticed, it can result in increased utility costs and even property damage to your home. Common household leaks include worn toilet flappers, dripping faucets or shower heads, and outdoor irrigation systems.

Peak Plan 2055 asks 'What's your dream for Apex?"

Peak Plan 2055 is a comprehensive plan being developed to guide decisions from Apex Town leaders, Town staff, and others about growth in areas including land use, transportation, conservation, housing, economic development, and more. Developing this plan takes us all and we want you to be involved as we create a plan for the next 30 years. Together, we can imagine what kind of community we want to be, and build the roadmap to get there.

At our first public engagement opportunities on October 22nd and 23rd, attendees will be asked 'do you see what we see?', by visiting various stations and learning about the Project Team's observations of Apex, its surroundings, and potential opportunities.

Tunstall House Renovation

The Thompson-Utley-Fletcher-Tunstall House, or Tunstall House, is a Wake County Historic Landmark that was built in 1870 and sits at the highest point (or peak) in Apex! In September, we kicked off a rehabilitation and renovation project to make needed repairs to both the grounds and inside of the home.

Note: The Senior Center parking lot will be closed during this project. We expect it to reopen by next September.
