Hello District 2!

We are pleased to announce the addition of Alicia Williams to our office as our new Constituent Services Representative. Some of you may have had the opportunity to interact with Alicia in other capacities. Alicia brings a wealth of experience to this role, which will undoubtedly enhance our ability to serve you effectively. We are confident that Alicia will be a valuable asset to our team.
The City is currently in the process of developing its Fiscal Year 2025 budget. This is your opportunity to have a direct impact on shaping the future of our community. Your feedback is crucial in determining how resources are allocated, priorities are set, and initiatives are funded. We encourage you to share your thoughts on how the budget should reflect on your needs as a District 2 constituent.
This month we marked a significant step towards our new Senior Center with the purchase of land for its development. This investment, located next to Copernicus Park, will pave the way for a state-of-the-art facility to be built on the east side. We will update you on the scheduling of public input meetings. If you have any questions, you can contact our office.

As always it is an honor to serve you.

NEW STAFF MEMBER

Meet Alicia!
We are so excited to introduce you to the newest member of our team, Alicia Williams! If she seems familiar, it’s because she most recently served as a Homeless Outreach Specialist with the City of San Antonio, primarily working with District 2’s unsheltered population. She will join us in providing constituent services and will provide guidance, insight, and knowledge to inform our policy goals, particularly those involving houselessness. She brings with her a decade of experience in social services and case management. Her formal education includes a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Syracuse University. Her experience working with vulnerable populations, including seniors, veterans, those with disabilities, and those experiencing houselessness, as well as her immense institutional knowledge will prove invaluable on our team and for our constituents. We are incredibly grateful for her passion for our District and look forward to serving alongside her. Please feel free to send an email or call to welcome her officially to our team! If you happen to call or visit our office, please welcome her to the District 2 family!
