Thanks to the community for your active participation and thoughtful input on the Biltmore Village Infrastructure Recovery Project. Your feedback is essential to ensuring this work reflects community priorities while restoring vital infrastructure.

• View August 25, 2026 Joint Recovery Board Meeting and Presentation Slides — Recording and documentation from the recent joint board session where an update was presented on the Biltmore Village Infrastructure Recovery Project.

• View Tree Risk Assessment — Existing tree safety report, which is being considered in addition to overall tree health, potential construction impacts, historic plans, utilities, street sign visibility, and community feedback to inform the tree removal and replacement approach.

The project team is actively analyzing and incorporating public feedback alongside project scope, budget and site condition parameters. 

Next Steps 

• Historic Resources Commission Review: At their October 14, 2026 meeting, design plans will be submitted to the Historic Resources Commission to ensure alignment with the Biltmore Village Historic District design standards.

• Design Finalization: The project team will finalize and share design plans in a future updated posted to the project page following HRC review.

• Council Approval: After advertising for and selecting a construction contractor, a contract will be presented to City Council for formal authorization at a regular meeting.

• Construction Kickoff: On-site construction is scheduled to begin in early 2027.
