Attend Menlo Park's upcoming City Council meeting Tuesday, Nov. 4. The meeting will begin with a closed session at 5:30 p.m. The public meeting will begin at 6 p.m. 

See the meeting's agenda item highlights below: 

  • J1. Waive the second reading and adopt an ordinance amending Title 12 [Buildings and Construction] of the Menlo Park Municipal Code by adopting by reference the 2025 California Building Standards Code (Title 24, California Code of Regulations Parts 1, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12), together with local amendments to parts 2, 2.5, 5, 6 and 11
  • J2. Receive and file the certification of sufficiency of the petition for the proposed citizen-initiative measure entitled "Downtown Parking Plazas Ordinance Initiative” 
  • J3. Determination of action, pursuant to Elections Code section 9215, regarding the proposed initiative measure entitled “Downtown Parking Plazas Ordinance”

Weekly street sweeping frequency November through February

Street sweeping

From November through February, Menlo Park will conduct weekly street sweeping to reduce debris and prevent flooding during the rainy season. Drowsy Driving Prevention Week

Nov. 2–8 is Drowsy Driving Prevention Week, a national campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of driving while fatigued. Each year, hundreds of lives are lost in drowsy driving-related crashes. Complete Streets Commission to review Nealon Park Parking and Blake Street Pilot Project

Please join us at the upcoming Complete Streets Commission meeting Wednesday, Nov. 12, starting at 6:30 p.m in City Council Chambers (751 Laurel St.) and via Zoom. Join us at Fremont Park (Santa Cruz Avenue at University Drive) Friday, Dec. 5, from 5:30–7 p.m. for Light Up the Season. Enjoy free and family-friendly entertainment, youth performances, hot cocoa, cider (quantities limited) and the lighting of the big oak tree. Find your voting locations for the Nov. 4 Special Election

The Statewide Special Election will take place Nov. 4. Locations for ballot drop-off in the City of Menlo Park are at the Belle Haven Child Development Center (410 Ivy Drive, outside, walk-up), the Boys & Girls Club (401 Pierce Road, outside, walk-up) and City Hall (701 Laurel St., outside, walk-up).
