SR-201 | 900 W to State Street Paving
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
June 26, 2025

Most pre-paving work has been completed, and we are now preparing to begin paving operations on the main travel lanes of SR-201 starting next week, June 29th. If you are traveling through the area at night, you can expect single lane closures throughout the project area. Additionally, to accommodate paving on 2100 South, the northbound and southbound I-15 on-ramps as well as the SR-201 westbound on-ramp will be temporarily closed Sunday Night, June 29th from 7pm - 5am. If you are heading to the freeway during this time, please use 3300 South and 600 South ramps as an alternate route. We appreciate our hardworking crews for their continued efforts in improving the road for all of us.

SCHEDULE

Work Hours: 7pm - 6am; Occasional Days 6am - 10am
Workdays: Mon - Sat (No Holidays)

Project Total Duration: Approximately 75 days

Schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions and material availability.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITES & TRAFFIC IMPACTS

June 25 - June 28: Crews start patchwork and preliminary work to paving operations.
- Work will require rolling single lane closures at night.

Starting June 29: Paving Operations begin.
- Full nighttime single-lane closures in both directions are expected for the next few weeks.
- No work will be completed July 3-5 due to the Holiday.

Sunday Night, June 29 from 7pm - 5am: I-15 NB and SB ramps from 2100 S will be paved at various times throughout the night.
- During this time, the SR-201 WB on-ramp and the I-15 on-ramps will be closed
- Please use 3300 S and 600 S as alternate ramps to enter the freeway.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will resurface State Route 201 (2100 S) from 900 W to State Street. The project objectives are aimed at preserving the life of the road. This paving process will help increase the longevity of the road surface, address road imperfections and enhance motorist safety by providing a smoother, more durable road. Additional work includes upgraded pedestrian ramps to meet ADA compliance and refreshed lane painting/striping. See our project website for more details.
