Take the Survey for The SUN Trail Alignment Studies for both Manatee & Sarasota!

The Sarasota/Manatee MPO is working on two trail studies: the Manatee Trail Alignment Study and the Sarasota Trail Alignment Study. These planning studies focus on developing a network of biking and walking trails that will connect to schools, parks, transit stops, essential services, local attractions, and other key destinations.
Working closely with the Project Advisory Groups, a short list of potential routes have been identified for each study area. Now, we need your feedback and your vote on which alternatives make the most sense!

NHTSA Holiday Season Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign December 14 - January 1!

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is teaming up with the law enforcement community nationwide during the 2022 holiday season Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over high-visibility enforcement impaired driving campaign, which runs from December 14, 2022, through January 1, 2023.
Tips from NHTSA:
- Always remember to plan ahead when you will be celebrating with alcohol.
- Remember that it is never okay to drink and drive. Even if you’ve had only one alcoholic beverage, designate a sober driver or plan to use a ride service, or call a taxi or a sober friend to get home safely.
- If you have to ask if you’re okay to drive, then you already know the answer.

There is still work being done on the intersection, so please use caution and watch for construction vehicles, dump trucks, semi-trucks and heavy equipment entering or exiting the work zone.
