Thank you for your patience as the City of Austin continues important safety and mobility improvements along Ross Road and Pearce Lane. As part of this work, Austin Water crews and their contractor will be preparing the system to connect the newly installed 24‑inch water line. State regulations require us to briefly depressurize portions of the existing system before we can safely switch service to the new line.
Residents in Oak Ranch, Eastridge Apartments, and Del Valle ISD properties south of Fort Lexington Drive may experience low water pressure on Tuesday, March 17, while this work is underway. Water service is expected to remain available, and we do not anticipate a full outage. Any pressure impacts will be temporary. All work is scheduled to be complete by 8 p.m.
This work was originally planned for Saturday, March 14, but has been rescheduled to Tuesday.
We appreciate the community’s cooperation and encourage customers to conserve water during this period to help maintain stable system pressure. Austin Water crews will be on site throughout the operation to ensure the transition is completed safely and as quickly as possible.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please email MobilityBonds@austintexas.gov or call (512) 974-2300. If you have immediate needs during the water shutout process, please contact Austin Water’s 24/7 Customer Service Contact Center at (512) 972-1000.
