Upcoming Resurfacing of New Haw Creek Road
As part of the ongoing sidewalk improvements, the portion of New Haw Creek Road along the project corridor will be milled and resurfaced starting as soon as today, Friday, August 14, weather permitting.
The resurfacing work will take place on weekdays during daytime work hours (7 a.m. - 6 p.m.) and is anticipated to be completed by the end of the day Wednesday, August 19, but may take longer depending on weather conditions. Lane closures are expected.
What’s Next
With the start of the school year, the contractor will resume a schedule with no lane closures from 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. beginning Thursday, August 20. The project is on track for completion by the end of 2026.
