| Join the Menlo Park City Council meeting Nov. 18

Attend Menlo Park's upcoming City Council meeting Tuesday, Nov. 18. The public meeting will begin at 6 p.m.
See the meeting's agenda item highlights below:
- G1. Provide direction on phased improvements for public plaza in closed portion of Santa Cruz Avenue along the 600 block
- G2. Provide additional direction on Home Upgrade Services program enhancements to ensure expenditure of the first half of the communitywide electrification project grant funds
This is a hybrid meeting and members of the public can listen to the meeting and participate in person at City Council Chambers (751 Laurel St.), by telephone at 669-900-6833, via Zoom or stream live.

| New 2025 California Building Code adopted

Building permit applicants should be aware of upcoming deadlines related to the transition from the 2022 to the 2025 California Building Code. Complete applications submitted by 11:59 p.m., Dec. 31, 2025, will remain under the 2022 code series. Applications submitted on or after Jan. 1, 2026, must follow the 2025 code series. City Hall will be closed Dec. 24, 2025–Jan. 1, 2026, with staff reviewing Accela submissions once offices reopen Jan. 2, 2026. Read more...

| Local minimum wage increases to $17.55 for 2026

Jan. 1, 2026, Menlo Park’s local minimum wage will increase by $0.45 to $17.55 per hour, reflecting a 2.7% inflation adjustment based on U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data for the San Francisco area. The ordinance applies to all employers within incorporated Menlo Park and any employee working at least two hours per week. Read more...

| 2026 Community Police Academy application open
