This week at the Public Safety Committee, the Council Consideration Request (CCR) to establish an Office for Crime and Recidivism Prevention was discussed. We outlined our expectations and provided further direction of creation of the Office, including intentional coordination across City departments, community organizations, and other governmental entities with strategic programs to prevent crime and lower recidivism rates. We want to thank community representatives from FREED, Act4SA, and Gardopia Gardens who shared public comment in support of the Office. The item was continued for further discussion for the next Public Safety committee.

We invite you to our community get-together Last2sday! We will host this event at our North East office at 4351 Rittiman Rd from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Join us for great art vendors, resources, music, and food! We hope to see you there.

As always it is an honor and a privilege to serve you.
