Project Scope: Improve North New Braunfels corridor from East Houston to Burleson with construction of new sidewalks and other street amenities as appropriate and within available funding.

Project Update
August 23, 2023
Current Construction Activity:
- The contractor will be performing corrective work to the asphalt at the contractor's own expense. The initial effort did not meet the City of San Antonio's quality standards.
- The corrective work on North New Braunfels Street will take place on Thursday, August 31, 2023 through Friday, September 1, 2023. Two-way traffic will be maintained.
- The intersection of Dawson Street and North New Braunfels Street will be closed from Tuesday, September 5, 2023 through Wednesday, September 6, 2023. See the detour map below.
- Lamar Street will be closed just West of North New Braunfels Street from Wednesday, September 6, 2023 through Thursday, September 7, 2023. Two-way traffic on North New Braunfels will be maintained.
- Estimated completion for the project - Summer 2023
