Caltrans advisory: Overnight ramp closures on U.S. 101 near San Mateo starting this week

Overnight ramp closures on U.S. 101

Starting this week, Caltrans plans to close several ramps along U.S. 101 near the City of San Mateo, including Whipple Avenue, Hillsdale Boulevard and Beatty Avenue, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Crews will start grading the ramps, installing guardrail and performing vegetation management control which will require their closure. Join the Menlo Park City Council meeting Jan. 28

Attend Menlo Park's upcoming City Council meeting Tuesday, Jan. 28. This City Council meeting will start with a closed session at 5 p.m., followed by the regular meeting, which will begin no earlier than 6 p.m. City Council meetings are generally held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month, starting at 6 p.m. This is a hybrid meeting and participants can join online or in person. Traffic impacts on Willow Road through Feb. 7

Willow Road construction zone

Willow Road between Durham Road and Coleman Avenue will be under construction to update utilities for the Oak Gardens Veterans Housing project. The work started Jan. 22 and is expected to finish by Feb. 7. All travel lanes will remain open, but will narrow and shift depending on the work. Bike lanes will be closed through the work zone and bicyclists will need to merge with vehicles. We encourage residents to find alternative routes during these dates... Click to continue

Full overnight closures on U.S. 101 at University Avenue in East Palo Alto Feb. 5 – 6

Closure

Caltrans has scheduled two overnight closures on U.S. 101 at University Avenue in East Palo Alto. Caltrans crews will be removing temporary supporting structures from the area. Crews will prepare for the closure starting on Tuesday night at 10 p.m. All detours will be clearly signposted. The Northbound U.S. 101 closure will take place Wednesday, Feb. 5 from 12:01 a.m. to 4 a.m. and the Southbound U.S. 101 closure will take place Thursday, Feb. 6 from 1 – 4 a.m... Click to continue
