Attend Menlo Park's upcoming City Council meeting Tuesday, Sep. 30. The meeting will begin with a closed session at 5:30 p.m. The public meeting will begin at 6 p.m.

| City Council to review proposed Parkline project Sept. 30

The Planning Commission voted unanimously on Aug. 25 to recommend the City Council approve the requested land use entitlements and certify the Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) for the Parkline Master Plan Project. The City Council is scheduled to review the proposed project and consider the Planning Commission’s recommendation at its meeting on Sept. 30. Community members are encouraged to review the FEIR released on July 7 and participate in the Sept. 30 City Council meeting. Read more...

| Menlo Park to increase street sweeping in October

Beginning in October, Menlo Park will increase street sweeping to a bi-weekly schedule to reduce debris, protect water quality and prevent flooding during the wet season. Residents can help by moving vehicles on sweep days, avoiding leaf piles in the street and keeping sticks, branches and palm fronds out of gutters. Read more...

| Police participating in Pink Patch Project for Breast Cancer Awareness

This October, the Menlo Park Police Department is joining the Pink Patch Project during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Pink patches will be available for purchase at the Police Department lobby at 701 Laurel St. for $10, with all proceeds benefiting Bay Area Cancer Connections. The pink patches are intended to raise awareness about the importance of early detection and the on-going fight against this disease as well as offer support to those currently affected. Calling all third through eighth-grade student artists in the RethinkWaste service area! RethinkWaste’s 2025 Poster Contest is now open! Draw a poster that illustrates those who decompose (such as bacteria, fungi, earthworms, centipedes, pill bugs, ants, beetles and flies)! The winning posters from each contest category will be displayed on a local Recology truck, and the second-place winners will choose either a fun activity or a gift card. | Submit artwork for a library card art exhibition by Oct. 31

Bring us along on your library adventure! The City of Menlo Park is refreshing our library cards and inviting community members of all ages to submit original artwork inspired by the theme “My Library Adventure in Menlo Park.” Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of staff and stakeholders, and select designs will be printed on new library cards and made available to the public. Any artist whose work is selected for printing will be notified prior to printing. Submit your design by Oct. 31 for the opportunity to be displayed in the gallery Nov. 18, 2025–Jan. 15, 2026.
