LOCAL TRANSPORTATION BOARDS: WHERE
COMMUNITY VOICES SHAPE LOCAL DECISIONS
Across our region, local groups meet regularly to talk about transportation. They review local plans, consider community concerns about safety and access, and help guide future transportation investments by advising elected officials and transportation decision-makers. Whether you ride the bus, drive, bike, walk, or use mobility aids, these forums are where everyday experiences help inform local transportation decisions.
Upcoming Local Transportation Meetings You Can Attend
You don’t need to be a transportation expert to participate. These meetings are open to the public and welcome public comments, with some allowing the public to apply to serve as members.
Transportation works best when it reflects the needs of the people who use it every day—and that includes you.
Below are a sample of upcoming opportunities to listen in, learn more, and take part in transportation decision-making in your community.

HERE’S A RESOLUTION WORTH KEEPING:
BE THE DRIVER THAT SAVES LIVES
New year, same roads. But this year, your choices behind the wheel can help change the story. In Maryland, more than 500 lives are lost on our roads each year—and nearly all of them are preventable.
So here’s a resolution worth keeping:
- Buckle up.
- Slow down.
- Stay sober.
- Phone down. Eyes up.
No gym membership. No vision board. Just smart habits that make every ride safer—for you and everyone around you.
