Attend Menlo Park's upcoming City Council meeting Tuesday, Aug. 25. The closed session will take place at 5:30 p.m. and the public meeting will begin at 6 p.m.

Planning Commission study session on USGS campus redevelopment plan Aug. 24

The Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a study session Monday, Aug. 24 for a proposed project that would comprehensively redevelop the former USGS campus (345 Middlefield Road) with a new mixed-use project that includes 670 dwelling units, about 713,000 square feet of office space, about three acres of publicly accessible space and about 40,000 square feet of non-office commercial and amenity space. Read more...

Electronic waste collection event returns Sept. 5

RethinkWaste and Recology San Mateo County are teaming up with the City of Menlo Park to encourage residents to properly recycle old electronics at the Electronic Waste Collection Event Sept. 5 from 9 a.m. to noon at the City Corporation Yard (333 Burgess Drive). Residents should place their electronic waste in their trunks and remove other personal items to avoid any accidents. This drive-through event allows residents to remain in their vehicles as the vendor picks up the electronic waste from the trunks. Read more...

New date for Big Blanket Movie Night Sept. 18

Bring the family, share a blanket and enjoy a screening of Moana 2 at Menlo Park’s Big Blanket Movie Night! The event has been rescheduled and will now take place Sept. 18 from 6–8 p.m. at Hamilton Park (531 Hamilton Ave.) Wear your island-inspired outfits or dress like your favorite character from the movie! This event is free and open to all ages. Join us for some film fun while connecting with your neighbors in a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. Read more.

New pool hours starting Sept. 8

Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8, Burgess Pool and Belle Haven Pool will implement new hours that were adopted as part of balancing the City's budget for fiscal year 2026-27. Learn more about the changes to the pool hours or view full pool schedules.

BELLE HAVEN POOL HOURS

  • Monday–Friday: 3–7 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
  • Sunday: 11 a.m.–4 p.m.

BURGESS POOL HOURS

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 6 a.m.–1 p.m. and 3–8 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Thursday: 6–10 a.m. and noon–8 p.m.
  • Saturday: 6 a.m.–4 p.m.
  • Sunday: 7 a.m.–4 p.m.
