Briefing on the Small Business Construction Support Grants Program: This program provides additional financial support for businesses that continue to be impacted by city-funded construction projects in commercial corridors.

Discussion on Funding for Affordable Housing Development: The City is kicking off the process to fund affordable housing production and rehabilitation. This effort is thanks to the 2022-2027 Housing Bond that the voters approved in 2022. This effort is critical to ensure residents can have safe, affordable, and stable housing. This is the foundation of thriving communities and a flourishing city.

Join us for our upcoming Office Hours event dedicated to assisting our community with their electric and water bills! We understand the challenges many families face in managing utility costs, which is why we're thrilled to host this event in collaboration with CPS Energy Residential Energy Assistance Partnership (REAP) and SAWS Uplift programs.
Date: March 4, 2024 Time: 10am -12pm Location: District 1 Field Office:1310 Vance Jackson Rd.
At this event, representatives from CPS Energy and SAWS will be available to provide guidance, support, and assistance with:
- Explaining the Residential Energy Assistance Partnership (REAP) program and its mission to help families in need pay their utility bills year-round.
- Educating participants on energy-saving conservation measures to empower them to save money and reduce their energy consumption.
- Discussing the eligibility criteria for both REAP and Uplift programs.
- Assisting attendees in completing the necessary applications for enrollment in these invaluable assistance programs.
- Answering any questions or concerns regarding utility bill assistance and conservation efforts.

Coffee with your Councilwoman: Maverick Park Edition on March 16th from 10 am - 11:30 am! We're switching gears this time around! We're still keeping the coffee flowing (because, let's face it, we all need it in the mornings!), but we're taking the party to Maverick Park! Bring your furry friend, soak up the sun, and let's get talking!

PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT AND OUTREACH SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING
The Public Engagement and Outreach (PEO) Subcommittee of the Housing Commission efficiently engages the public through guidance, support and oversight of Neighborhood and Housing Service Department’s public engagement as it relates to policies developed in response to the Housing Policy Framework and Strategic Housing Implementation Plan (SHIP).
The subcommittee seeks to give voice to parts of the community traditionally underrepresented but who make up a significant segment of the population including, but not limited to, those most impacted by housing insecurity.
