15th Street Experience Reaches Major Milestone

Railcars installed in downtown Cheyenne

One of the most anticipated milestones of the 15th Street Experience has arrived with the delivery and installation of the historic railcars in Downtown Cheyenne.

After months of planning, restoration, and site preparation, the railcars are now in place, marking another visible step in bringing the 15th Street Experience to life and celebrating Cheyenne's railroad heritage. While this represents one phase of the project, it is a significant milestone in the project's overall progress.

To help share the story behind the project, West Edge Collective produced a video documenting the railcar installation and featuring Michael Pannell of Vintage Rail Restorations, who led the restoration of these historic pieces. The video offers a behind-the-scenes look at the installation process and the history of the railcars.

The Cheyenne DDA extends its appreciation to Schlatter Boys Transport for safely transporting the railcars, Vintage Rail Restorations for their exceptional restoration work, and the City of Cheyenne, Ward II, and Visit Cheyenne for their partnership in bringing the accompanying video to life.
