Helpful 311 Updates
The 311 Customer Service Office launched an upgrade to the system-generated emails for residents who report service requests including potholes, stray animals, illegal dumping, junk vehicles, overgrown yards with trash and more.
The new email includes:
- case number
- case type
- department responsible
- service due date
- a direct link for case updates displayed online at 311.sanantonio.gov
System-generated emails are sent to residents who leave their contact information with the request, and emails are sent when a request is opened and closed. The email links are only available the day after the case is submitted.
An additional update includes the ability for residents to receive emails when a case is already open. Residents can subscribe to receive updates regarding cases they want to monitor and track by contacting 311. This allows residents who don’t want to leave their contact information to also receive email updates.
Reach out to 3-1-1 for more information. 311 Customer Service is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and until 11 p.m. for more urgent concerns.
