Apex 150th Highlight - "What Makes Apex Home" Video Series

The Apex 150th celebration year aims to unify, create common understanding, and challenge community members to go all in with Apex.

In the ‘What Makes Apex Home’ video series, we capture stories from Apex community members of many backgrounds and experiences. Participants are asked to answer three key questions:

  1. Reflect on a favorite and / or important memory of Apex
  2. Share what makes Apex home to them
  3. Forecast their hopes for our town’s future.

These questions take the vision of the year – past, present, and potential – and turn them into recorded memories and dreams.

View stories from Apex community members!

Stormwater Condition Assessment Project Begins Early June

In 2022, the Town of Apex began collecting a stormwater utility fee from residential and non-residential utility customers. The stormwater utility fee provides a dedicated fund for stormwater program operations.

The first project funded by the fee is the Stormwater Condition Assessment. Phase 1 of this project begins in early June. The purpose of this project is to assess the condition of our stormwater system, and prioritize enhancement and repair projects.

What can you expect from this project?

  • The Town of Apex has contracted McAdams and VisionNC to inspect town-maintained stormwater infrastructure like catch basins, storm drains, storm pipes, culverts, and outfalls
  • You may see personnel from both companies will be conducting the inspections on public easements. They'll be able to answer any questions you may have about the project.
  • The Phase 1 study area includes locations east of Salem Street between Hunter Street and E. Williams Street.

Learn more about the project and view the Phase 1 study locations map

  2. View Art Displays – The first floor of the Halle is open as an art gallery (with no admission fee), with rotating displays throughout the year.
  3. Check out our Rental Space – Various rooms are available to rent for birthday or anniversary celebrations, business meetings, performances, and so much more!
  4. See a Show – Live performances are scheduled throughout the year, including plays, musicals, and concerts.
  5. Get Crafty – Drop in at The Halle on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month for "super" fun with free arts & crafts for children.
