The Huntersville Hub is the Town of Huntersville's new monthly newsletter. We are launching this newsletter in an effort to give residents another way to learn about Town of Huntersville initiatives, projects and upcoming events. Join Us for Upcoming Budget Sessions

The budget for next fiscal year is on tap, and we want your feedback as we prepare to serve Huntersville residents in the upcoming fiscal year. Join us for multiple chances to give your input on the proposed budget for fiscal year 2025. In addition to our regular budget presentations during Town board meetings, we are also holding community input sessions at 760 Craft Works on May 8 and 15, which we are calling "Brew on the Budget," and holding a community input session on the proposed budget at Huntersville Town Hall on May 22 at 5:30 p.m., which we are calling "Budget in the Board Room." Below is a calendar of events of opportunities to give us your feedback on the proposed budget:

  • May 6: Town Manager presents proposed budget during Town Board meeting.
  • May 8: Brew on the Budget at 760 Craft Works at 5:30 p.m.
  • May 15: Brew on the Budget at 760 Craft Works at 5:30 p.m.
  • May 20: Public Hearing on proposed budget during regular Town Board meeting at 6 p.m.
  • May 22: Budget in the Board Room at Huntersville Town Hall, 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • June 3: Anticipated budget adoption.

New Traffic Pattern in Rosedale

A new four-way stop was recently installed at the intersection of Reese Boulevard and Rose Commons Drive in Rosedale. The new intersection is properly signed and motorists should use caution and be aware of the new traffic pattern when driving through this intersection.

Keep Trees and Shrubs Trimmed for the Season

Spring has sprung and trees and shrubs are growing in abundance as the weather warms. The Town of Huntersville would like to remind residents and business owners to trim their trees appropriately to remain in compliance with Article 7 of the Huntersville Town Zoning Ordinance. The Town of Huntersville does not maintain any street trees. Per Article 7 of the Town of Huntersville Zoning Ordinance, the closest property owner is responsible for street tree maintenance. Mayor's Coffee Mixer Ad

Don't Miss the Mayor's Coffee Mixer!

Join Mayor Christy Clark for the perfect blend of casual conversation and community engagement during the Mayor's Coffee mixer series. This is a chance for residents to hear updates about the Town and engage in meaningful conversation with Mayor Clark in an informal setting. Our next scheduled Mayor's Coffee Mixer will be May 22 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Kunu Coffee, located at 8519 Gilead Road. We hope to see you there!

The challenge, now in its fourth year, aims to encourage residents of Huntersville, Davidson and Cornelius to stay active and fit while fostering a sense of community and friendly competition. NC3C Award

Town of Huntersville Earns Excellence in Communications Award

The Town of Huntersville was one of 24 municipalities in North Carolina to earn recognition in the North Carolina City & County Communicators (NC3C) 2024 Excellence in Communications Awards contest. The Town of Huntersville earned an Excellence in Communications Award for its educational campaign surrounding the $58 million in General Obligation Bonds that were on the ballot in November 2023. There were 175 award nominations in this year’s contest, and all awards were judged by professional communications peers from the Minnesota Association of Government Communicators (MAGC).

Huntersville Town Board of Commissioners 2024

Decisions from the Dais

The Huntersville Town Board of Commissioners voted recently to approve financing for and enter into a construction contract to build a new Town Hall. Following this vote, a groundbreaking for the new Town Hall was held in April. The construction of the building is expected to be complete by late 2025. This decision marks a significant milestone in the Town's efforts to enhance its infrastructure, invest in its downtown area and better serve the needs of its residents.
