Decisions from the Dais
The Town Board of Commissioners thanked the community and Town staff for coming together in response to Hurricane Helene during the first meeting in October. They acknowledged the local efforts of Public Works and others who coordinated debris pick up and restored power.
They also highlighted the efforts of residents in Huntersville, as well as the Huntersville Police Department's donation collection for Western North Carolina. As a Board they heard a presentation regarding the response and what different governmental entities can do to help. They emphasized the importance of continuing to work with organizations based in Western North Carolina as communities recover from the devastating storm.
