Household Hazardous Waste Monthly Drop-Off Events
Don't forget: Household Hazardous Waste (like batteries) should never be placed inside any cart for curbside collection. They should always be brought to a drop-off center.
Learn more about drop-off locations and what materials are accepted. These events take place every first Friday and next-day Saturday (except holidays) from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Review the list for upcoming drop-off events:

World Heritage Festival Returns
Dates: September 6-10, 2023
The World Heritage Festival returns for its 8th year! This annual event celebrates and promotes the San Antonio Missions, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The Missions are the only World Heritage site in Texas and one of just 24 in the United States.

Applications Open for REHABARAMA
REHABARAMA offers minor home repairs at no cost to qualifying homeowners. The program helps preserve housing to allow residents to age in place.
Typical projects address one or more of the following:
- Building envelope (siding, soffit, fascia, skirting)
- Structural systems (foundation, stabilization)
- Property maintenance code issues
- Weatherization & comfort (wood window repair, windows screens, door repair, insulation)
- Longevity (caulking, painting, flashing, gutter repair)
- Safety (porch repair & decking, accessibility)
Homes built before 1960 are eligible for the program. The income level for the household must be at 80% of the Area Median Income or below.
