Today, the Genesee Transportation Council (GTC) and the New York State Department of Transportation – Region 4 (NYSDOT-4) are calling for transportation infrastructure project applications to be supported with Federal transportation funds for the next cycle of the Transportation Improvement Program, also known as the TIP.
The deadline to submit applications is December 20, 2024.
On Thursday, November 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. we will conduct an online workshop and training session featuring EcoInteractive, an online system to manage the TIP. Please register to receive Zoom meeting access details.
Background:
Federal regulations require that the metropolitan transportation planning process include the cooperative development of the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), a staged multi-year program of projects consistent with the Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP).
The TIP identifies the timing and funding of all highway, bridge, transit, intelligent transportation system, bicycle, and pedestrian transportation projects scheduled for implementation in the region during the next five years using federal transportation funds.
This region’s TIP is developed cooperatively by a team led by the GTC staff and NYSDOT-4 staff. The TIP includes projects in Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Wayne and Wyoming counties.
Information will also be posted on the GTC Engagement Hub, www.publicinput.com/GTCTIP2030.
