Salem Streetscape Project Construction in Full Swing

Salem Street is getting a makeover! The streetscape project aims to create an even more welcoming, pedestrian-friendly shopping and dining experience than we already know and love while also boosting the downtown's economic vitality and honoring its historic roots. When you think Salem Street, think:

⬇ Follow the Flow: For Phase I of construction, the east side of Salem Street from Chatham to Saunders is closed, meaning southbound-only traffic can pass through the area. At the Chatham and Salem intersection, a temporary traffic pattern is in place creating a four-way stop.

🛍 Keep Loving Local: Downtown is open for business during this project with construction barricades creating a dedicated walking area on both sides of the street! Follow the posted wayfinding signage to navigate to your preferred parking lot.

Apex Police Provides Life Saving Information on E-Bikes

Apex Police has seen an increase in the misuse of e-bikes, and unfortunately, has also seen several riders suffer serious injuries as a result. Not all bikes are the same. Some e-bikes look like bicycles but operate more like mopeds or motorcycles, and they come with different laws, safety requirements, and risks.

Apex Police wants all riders to operate responsibly, and encourages parents to understand exactly what type of bike they are purchasing for their children.
