Join the July 8 Menlo Park City Council meeting for Santa Cruz Avenue public plaza project discussion

The July 8 City Council meeting is currently scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in a hybrid format. Members of the public can listen to the meeting and participate in person at City Council Chambers (751 Laurel St.), by telephone at 669-900-6833, via Zoom or stream live.

At the upcoming meeting, City Council will provide direction on design and improvements for a public plaza in the closed portion of Santa Cruz Avenue along the 600 block.

Grab your lawn chairs and blankets and pack all your favorite picnic essentials as you enjoy music at twilight with your family and friends. Community Funding Program applications open through July 18

Each year, the City of Menlo Park provides monetary support to eligible community organizations and non-profit agencies whose programs respond to the human service needs of our community in three categories: basic services, community enrichment and community health. Complete the online application by Friday, July 18. Requests are for consideration only and in no way guarantee funding for a particular agency. Read more...

Parkline final EIR released and Planning Commission hearing scheduled

The Final Environmental Impact Report (Final EIR) for the proposed Parkline master plan project is now available. The report includes a response to all substantive comments received on the Draft EIR as well as edits to the text of the Draft EIR. Review the Final EIR and participate in the July 28 Planning Commission meeting. The Planning Commission will make a recommendation to the City Council on whether to certify the Final EIR and approve the proposed project. Submit written comments on the Final EIR by 5:30 p.m. Monday, July 28. Read more...

Apply for a seat on the Housing Commission by July 31

The City is actively seeking applicants for a vacancy on the Housing Commission. The Housing Commission is an advisory body charged primarily with advising the City Council on housing matters, including housing supply and housing-related problems. Interested candidates age 18 and older are encouraged to apply by Thursday, July 31. Read more...

Join Menlo Park's free shredding event Aug. 2

Prevent identity theft by shredding sensitive documents at the City’s popular free shredding event, Saturday, Aug. 2 from 9 a.m. – noon at City Corporation Yard (333 Burgess Dr.)! Confidential document destruction includes items such as receipts, checks, pre-approved credit applications, credit card statements, outdated tax returns, pre-printed envelopes, return address labels and business cards. Participants are limited to three boxes (10" x 12" x 15") per vehicle. Please do not bring e-waste or household hazardous waste. Read more...
