Sign Up for TSA PreCheck® at CLT
The Transportation Security Administration is making it easier for local passengers to sign up for TSA PreCheck®.
A pop-up registration event for NEW applicants will be held from 9 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m. July 24-28 in the ticketing lobby between Door 1 and the Checkpoint A entrance at Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
TSA PreCheck® allows for expedited screening at airport security checkpoints. With TSA PreCheck® you don't need to remove shoes, belts, 3-1-1 liquids, laptops or light jackets. Dedicated TSA PreCheck® lanes also make security screening faster. Cost is $78 for five years.
Appointments take about 10 minutes. To register for the CLT onsite sign-up event:
- go to tsaenrollmentbyidemia.tsa.dhs.gov/ and click on “New Enrollment.”
- when prompted to pick a location, search for "CLT" in the "Zipcode/City/Airport Code" box.
- select “Pop-Up: CLT: 7/24-7/28.” You will be asked to complete an application and you will be able to select a date and time and submit your reservation.
Note: Your application will include a background check and fingerprinting.
Parking is always in high demand at the Airport. Options are varies.
The Hourly Deck is closest to and a short walk from the terminal. Drive-up customers are welcome in the Long Term, Daily North and Express Deck Preferred lots, where shuttle service is always free. Check parking availability at cltairport.com. While parking reservations are not required they can guarantee parking in your preferred location.
