Important Information in July Utility Bill

All utility customers will receive a paper bill with their new account number in July, along with instructions on creating a user profile in MyAccount - the town’s new utility billing portal that launches July 7th. Please take time to review this information carefully.

New Utility Rates Effective July 1st

As part of the annual budget cycle, the town evaluates all rates and fees to ensure that the revenue generated can support the level of service needed. Also part of the budget cycle are several opportunities for public review and comment, typically from December through May.

The Fiscal Year 2025-26 budget was adopted on May 27th, with new rates and fees effective on July 1, 2025. Utility customers will notice a slight increase in most rates and fees for water, sewer, and electric service, as well as solid waste collection.

The average water / sewer customer, using 5,000 gallons of water per month, will see an increase of about $3.22 per month. For the average residential electric customer that uses around 1,150 kw/month, monthly bills will increase by about $6.68.

Service Changes for July 4th Holiday

Town administrative offices and facilities will be closed on Tuesday, July 4th. Trash and recycling will run on a normal schedule Monday through Thursday. Friday customers will be collected on Saturday. Yard Waste will be collected Monday through Thursday with crews collecting as many routes as possible during the shortened work week. Any remaining yard waste will be collected the following week.

Remember! You can receive push notifications when collection schedules change due to holidays or inclement weather via the 'Apex Collects' mobile or web app!
