Pedestrians

March 8: 2025 Corvian Cardinals 5K 

The event begins at 4 p.m. and concludes at 6 p.m. on S Mint St. They will travel from Corvian Community School to Johnston Oehler Rd, Jimmy Oehler Rd, and return on the same route.  

Event organizers expect approximately 300 attendees.

March 8: 2025 Run Jen Run 5K 

The event begins at 8 a.m. and concludes at 9:30 a.m. at Symphony Park. They will travel down Barclay Downs Dr, Scofield Rd, Hatherly Rd, Manning Dr, Iverness Rd, Ferncliff Rd, Colony Rd, Roxborough Rd, Carnegie Blvd, and return to Symphony Park.  

Event organizers expect approximately 800 attendees.

March 8: Highland Creek 5K 

The event begins at 9 a.m. and concludes at 1 p.m. at Highland Creek Elementary School. They will travel down Highland Creek Parkway, Beauvista Dr, and return on Highland Creek Parkway.  

Event organizers expect approximately 350 attendees.

March 15: Charlotte St. Patrick’s Day Parade 

The event begins at 11 a.m. and concludes at 1 p.m. on N Tryon St. The parade begins at N Tryon St and W 9th St. They will travel down N Tryon St to E 3rd St, and end on E 3rd St. N Tryon between 9th St and E 13th St will close at 8:30 a.m. N Tryon St between 9th Street and 3rd St, along with all cross streets will close at 10 a.m. 

Event organizers expect approximately 100,000 attendees.

March 15:  Charlotte St. Patrick’s Day Festival 

The event hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

The following streets will close at 5:30 a.m. and reopen at 8:00 p.m.: 

  • Tryon Street from Brooklyn Village Avenue to 3rd Street

  • 3rd Street from College Street to Church Street

  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. from College Street to Church Street

  • Levine Avenue of the Arts from Tryon Street to Church Street

Event organizers expect 25,000 attendees.

March 15: Lucky Day 7K Run 

The event begins at 8 a.m. and concludes at 9:30 a.m. at Brixham Park. They will travel down Ballantyne Corporate Place, Upper Ave, and return on the same route through the Brixham Corporate Park.

March 18: CMS buses at Blumenthal 

The shows begin at 10:15 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. and lasts for roughly 45 minutes. School buses will be parked on 5th Street between Tryon Street and College as well as on Tryon Street between 3rd and 9th Street. All buses should be out by 1 p.m. 

March 22: No Man’s Land Festival 

The event begins at 11 a.m. and concludes at 5 p.m. on Camden Road.   

Camden Road between Tremont Avenue and East Blvd will close at 7 a.m. and will reopen at 7:30 p.m.  

Event organizers expect approximately 2,500 attendees.

March 22: Get Your Rear in Gear 

The event begins at 8 a.m. and concludes at 10:30 a.m. at First Ward Park. They will travel down N Caldwell St, Belmont Ave, Seigle Ave, E 17th St, Harrill St, Belmont Ave, Louise Ave, Central Ave, E 7th St, and finishing at First Ward Park.  

Event organizers expect approximately 1,500 attendees.

March 22: Dash For Down Syndrome 

The event begins at 8 a.m. and concludes at 10:30 a.m. at First Ward Park. They will travel down Blakeney Professional Dr, Ardrey Kell Rd, Community House Road, Woodland Watch Court, Ardrey Woods Drive, Burnside Lane, Tonawanda Drive, Castlebay Drive, Albury Walk Lane, Hanworth Trace Drive, Hirsch Drive, Lindahi Lane, Rea Road, returning to Blakeney Park Drive. 

Event organizers expect approximately 375 attendees.

March 28: Charlotte Knights Opening Day Fan Fest 

This event begins at 5 p.m. and concluded at 7 p.m. 

Mint Street between Third Street and MLK Jr. Blvd will close at 4 p.m. and will reopen at 8 p.m.  

Event organizer expects approximately 3,000 attendees. 

March 29: Craft Half Marathon and 5 Miler 

This event begins at 8:00 a.m. on Brixham Hill Ave. They will travel to Ballantyne Corporate Pl, Lower Ave, N Community House Rd, Upper Ave, Ballantyne Corporate Pl, McAlpine Creek Greenway, McMullen Creek Greenway, and return to Brixham Hill Ave.  

Organizers expect 1,200 participants.

March 29: Central Church 5K  

This event begins at 9:00 a.m. on Randolph Road. They will go to Sardis Road, Providence Road, Rutledge Avenue, Randolph Road, and return to Central Church.   

Organizers expect 650 participants.
