| DID YOU KNOW? SAN ANTONIO WANTS TO BIKE
Seven out of 10 San Antonio residents say they'd be willing to bike 15 minutes or longer if it was safe and comfortable to do so! With that in mind, the San Antonio Transportation Department is moving into Phase 2 of the Bike Network Plan (BNP) and needs your input! https://sabikenetwork.com/
The BNP is a multi-year, in-depth examination of what bike and pedestrian infrastructure San Antonio residents want to see on their streets. The results in 2025 will be used to develop a network of bike paths and shared-use pathways that connect our City's park trails to bus & transit facilities, schools, businesses, and neighborhoods - like yours!

WHAT WE LEARNED FROM YOU
Through the Phase I public engagement process – San Antonians told us some interesting things:
- 53% of respondents reported driving alone daily, but of that group, only 9% said that was the only way that they “would like to get around San Antonio”
- 47% of daily drivers DID NOT list driving as one of their mobility preferences
- 69% expressing challenges in navigating San Antonio without a car
- 67% of respondents said building protected bike lanes should be a priority for the City to “make it more comfortable” on San Antonio streets
- 68% of respondents said that they would be willing to bike 15 minutes or longer if it was safe and comfortable. That’s more than two miles, depending on speed, which is a large enough distance for most people to access their neighborhood’s shops, restaurants, and grocery store
