MyAccount Utility Portal Launches July 7th

Have you heard? We’re launching a new utility customer portal on July 7th. MyAccount will replace eSuite (our current portal), and offers enhanced features for payment, notifications, usage tracking, and more!

All utility customers will receive a paper bill with their new account number in July - the new number is needed to create your online MyAccount profile. 

Note - payments by phone and online portal will be paused starting June 27th at 5 pm, and will resume on July 7th. 

Make a smooth transition to MyAccount... 


Changes to Wake County Property Tax Payment Locations

Starting July 1, 2025, the Towns of Apex, Holly Springs, Knightdale and Rolesville will no longer be able to accept in-person Wake County property tax payments. Residents who previously paid at these locations will need to use other methods, including online, mail or designated in-person sites elsewhere in the County.

Apex Fire Department Seeks Your Feedback

The Apex Fire Department invites you to help shape how they support the community - not just in emergencies, but through proactive, strategic efforts. Stop by their public input meetings on June 23rd or 30th from 6 - 7:30 pm, located at Apex Town Hall. AFD will review the results from their community survey, and seek additional feedback. Registration is not required.

An Evening in the Garden

Celebrate Pollinator Week at Apex Nature Park on Thursday, June 26th by grabbing a refreshment from The Busy B.E.E. food truck and exploring our native pollinator garden. This event also features crafts, pollinating insects from the Museum of Life & Science, storytimes at 5:15 pm and 6:15 pm, and a lady bug release into the habitat.

Saunders Lot Reconstruction Project Update

Final paving and pavement markings in Phase 1 of the Saunders Lot reconstruction project are currently slated for completion by end of July.  Once complete, the southern lot will reopen to the public and provide nearly 200 new parking spaces - more than double the number of spaces currently available in the gravel lot today.

Introducing the new Apex Police Department K9

Apex Police Department recently welcomed a new K9 to the APD family through a partnership with the Apex Rotary Club, who generously funded the K9 purchase. This new teammate marks a historic milestone as the APD’s first-ever K9 that is female and certified in explosives detection. Her name hasn’t been released by APD yet. What's your guess?

History of Lake Pine (Apex Community Lake)

Long before Jordan Lake, Lake Pine served as Apex's only source of drinking water. The original dam for this lake was constructed sometime between 1914 and 1938, and is now being reviewed for rehabilitation to enhance and extend the life of the dam and the lake.
