Community Partnership Grant Awards Announced
42 Nonprofit Organizations to Receive Funding
FREDERICK, Md. – Frederick County Executive Jessica Fitzwater today announced $1.2 million in awards to 42 local nonprofit organizations through the Community Partnership Grant program. This program awards competitive grants to nonprofit organizations. County Council President Brad Young joined Executive Fitzwater to unveil the list of grant recipients.
“Frederick County is fortunate to have such a large number of nonprofits working to address the needs of people in our community,” County Executive Jessica Fitzwater said. “We are proud to partner with nonprofits to move towards our vision of a Frederick County where everyone can live, work, and thrive while feeling a strong sense of place and belonging.”
Priorities for funding support one of four areas: Addressing Homelessness and Housing Solutions, Quality of Life, Public Health, and Supporting the Arts.
Grant funding will be used to provide homeless individuals and families emergency services, offer mentorship opportunities and life skills programs for youth and adults, deliver medical and dental care to those in need, provide support for low-income seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities, connect the community with local arts, and more services that make a difference for people in Frederick County.
Local nonprofit organizations applied for a total of 75 grants requesting more than $3 million. Independent review panels made recommendations to the County Executive.
Grant awards are not final until passage of the budget. For a full list of the FY27 Community Partnership Grant awards, visit FrederickCountyMD.gov/CPGFY27. For additional information visit FrederickCountyMD.gov/CPG or email CPG@FrederickCountyMD.gov.
