Residential Household Hazardous Waste Event Scheduled for May 4
FREDERICK, Md. - Frederick County’s Spring Residential Household Hazardous Waste drop off event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 4. This bi-annual event ensures proper disposal of hazardous waste generated inside Frederick County’s residences. Residents can drop off - at no cost - items like pesticides, herbicides, fluorescent bulbs (compact and tube), lithium-ion batteries, button batteries, solvents, and other items that may or may not be marked as “Hazardous Waste.”
Important reminders to prepare for this event:

This event runs from 8 a.m. until noon in the upper-level parking lot of Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium (Keys Stadium) at 21 Stadium Drive, Frederick, 21703.

Residents should arrive prepared with an ID showing residency in Frederick County and with an understanding of what items they wish to dispose of.

Lines can form during this event, and residents should be prepared for potential wait times longer than 10 minutes.

Walk-ups will not be accepted.

Residents should enter Stadium Drive from New Design Road as left-hand turns into the event are prohibited and could potentially cause traffic delays or accidents.
