Glenn Lane/Slayton Drive
Storm Drain Improvements
June 2026 Construction Update

The Glenn Lane/Slayton Drive Storm Drain Improvements (SDI) project is nearly complete. All water, wastewater, and storm drain lines have been installed. The old storm drain lines have been filled and sealed to be safely abandoned in place. Work over the next few weeks will be focused on revegetation and restoration. Restoration activity will include repairs to manhole tops, repairs to paving, and road striping. Once this work is complete, the project team will proceed with the final steps needed to officially declare substantial completion for the construction. We would like to thank the community for their patience and understanding throughout this project.

Project Background:
The Glenn Lane/Slayton Drive Storm Drain Improvements project replaced and relocated a failing storm drain pipe to help reduce the risk of flooding and improve access for future maintenance. The original pipe ran through private property, making it difficult to access and maintain. The new pipe has been relocated to the right-of-way. This will reduce flood risk by allowing City crews easier access for future maintenance. Construction is set to be completed summer 2026 at a cost of $1.4 million.
