Project Activities:

• During the month of August, the Community Facilitators paused in-person engagements and held virtual meetings with various project stakeholders and collaborators. 

• We attended the Goombay Festival weekend to develop new connections with local community members and various community organizations. 

• The design phase continues with a focus on distilling design elements from the community feedback, completing intermediate placemaking projects on The Block and moving forward with the process and preliminary scoping to procure artists and a design-build firm for the gateway/cultural corridor.

Upcoming Engagement Opportunities

• As we plan the gateway/cultural corridor, we'll offer community engagement touch points during the process to gather feedback. Stay tuned for more details.
