Utility Billing Update

Following the transition of utility billing software in July, customers will notice that the July and August billing periods have been inconsistent with our typical 30-day cycle.

Town staff has been working hard to refine new internal processes, and identify technical issues to be addressed by the software vendor. We expect that over the next couple of billing cycles, the billing period will return to normal.

Keep up with the latest utility billing info...

Olive Chapel Road Closure

On August 6th, a significant rainfall event caused the collapse of a portion of Olive Chapel Road due to an overwhelmed aging culvert.

Currently, Olive Chapel Road between Ashley Downs Drive and Patterson Grove Road is closed. Drivers are advised to follow the posted detour. For pedestrian safety, the sidewalk in this area is also closed.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) had previously identified the need to replace the culvert, with design plans already in progress. Efforts are being made to expedite the project ahead of its original schedule, and the town will provide all possible assistance.

Watch Town Manager, Randy Vosburg, go on-site at Olive Chapel Road...
