| Cultural Celebration: Día de los Muertos

Bring the family out to enjoy beautiful altars built in memory of departed loved ones and celebrate with cultural processions. The annual event will also showcase performances by live Mariachi bands and ballet folklorico dancers. Festivities include face painting, Día de los Muertos stilt characters, Happy Tails petting zoo, artisans, festive food, and authentic market shopping all weekend. | The Pass at Market Square

The Pass at Market Square is a new recreation area located at the IH-35 elevated highway underpass between Dolorosa and Commerce streets. It features a family-friendly recreation area that includes a basketball court, ping pong tables, swing chairs and tables, murals, and more. The City’s Arts & Culture Department is working with local artists to paint murals on the columns at The Pass that will reflect the history of Market Square.
The Pass is free and open to the public daily from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Paid parking is available nearby in the Market Square Lot, 612 W. Commerce St. Guests can reserve sports equipment by contacting the Market Square Team at 210-207-8600.
