Huntersville Awarded $3.5 Million for Transportation & Planning Projects

The Town of Huntersville has been awarded $3.5 million in federal grant funding to make getting around easier, safer and more connected. The Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO) approved this funding at its February 18 meeting, and Huntersville is getting a total of $3,526,856 to support three important projects. These investments will help us plan for the future and keep up with the growth in our region.

Nominate a Treasure Tree

The Town of Huntersville Environmental Sustainability Committee is inviting residents to help identify and celebrate the special trees that make our community unique through the new Treasure Tree Program. This program seeks to locate exceptional trees across Huntersville and share their stories, recognizing their environmental, cultural and historical importance.

Street Resurfacing Begins

The Town of Huntersville is committed to resurfacing more roads in 2026, and the work starts with addressing street corner ramps. Crews began work on street corner ramps in February. These ramps are the first step in a multi-phase process to resurface streets across town.
