The Housing Recovery Board will serve these functions:
- Provides input to City Council on policy recommendations that advance post-disaster housing stability efforts.
- Provides input to City Council on policy recommendations that support temporary and permanent housing solutions for displaced residents.
- Provides input to City Council on policy recommendations that support the development of strategies to proactively address future displacement events.
- Supports City Council by helping residents navigate post-disaster housing challenges by communicating resources and funding opportunities through each member’s respective networks.

Helene Housing Recovery Board 12/3/2025
The Housing Helene Recovery Board will meet from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every other month, beginning in December 2025, in the first-floor conference room of City Hall (70 Court Plaza, Asheville, NC 28801). Meetings will be held in a hybrid format.

Special Meeting: Housing Recovery Board Orientation
The Housing Recovery Board will be holding a special meeting from 9:00 a.m. - Noon on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in the Banquet Hall at Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville, located at 87 Haywood Street, Asheville, N.C. The purpose of the meeting will be to (1) hold a joint orientation for all 4 Helene Recovery Boards; and (2) go into 4 breakout sessions to go over each board's scope; their initial agenda items; and determine a regular meeting schedule.
