The NDOT District 6 Road-eo offers district 6 community members an opportunity to learn about active transportation projects, initiatives, and resources. NDOT will set up tables in the Shelby Bottoms Nature Center for community members to learn about the Main/Gallatin Vision Zero project, Shelby Ave safety project, East Nashville Spokes, and more. This is an open house style event. Participants can come anytime between 3 and 6 PM to speak directly with staff.

 

Featured projects and initiatives:

  • Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure Community Engagement: Learn about community empowerment tools to make your neighborhood streets safer, more beautiful, and more livable.
  • East Nashville Spokes Bikeway Project: Catch up on the East Nashville Spokes planning and design process.
  • Shelby Ave Safety Project: Learn about the Shelby Avenue safety project.
  • NDOT Bikeway Projects: Get information on bikeway plans across Nashville, including the Athena bikeways, Church St Complete Street project, East Nashville Water Multimodal Project, and East Thompson Lane Multimodal Project.
  • Main/Gallatin Project - 5th to Eastland Design Concept: Participate in the next phase of engagement on the Main St and Gallatin Pike project. See the new design concepts for 5th St to Eastland.
  • Choose How You Move: Learn about the Mayor's Office Choose How You Move initiative and its potential impacts on district 6.
  • WeGo Transit Navigators: Talk to the WeGo team on transit service and opportunities in district 6.
  • Vision Zero: Learn about the Metro Nashville Vision Zero campaign and how you can participate.
  • NashvilleConnector: Learn about the NashvilleConnector program, and explore new ways you can get around Nashville.
  • Metro Beautification: Learn about opportunities to make your neighborhood more beautiful and livable with the Metro beautification program.
