Sugg Farm Dog Park
Sugg Farm Dog Park
Provide your input (before the end of the day May 24th!) to help us plan Holly Springs' first Dog Park at Sugg Farm Park (2401 Grigsby Ave).
Results from a community survey in the fall of 2018 indicated that Holly Springs residents viewed dog parks as an important, but missing amenity in Town.
In December 2019, the Town’s Parks & Recreation Department received budget approval to design and construct an approximately 1 acre dog park in conjunction with the construction of a new public restroom facility at Sugg Farm Park. In order to best serve the needs of our resident pups and their humans, we want to hear from you!
What are the benefits of a dog park to a community?
- Enables socialization. Dogs are able to interact and play in a safe environment. Helps dogs develop healthy relationships with other dogs as well as humans, encouraging them to learn how to behave at and away from the dog park. Helps prevent endangering others or disturbing property or wildlife.
- Creates community. A common place for dog owners to bring their pets, initiates socialization not only between dogs, but between their owners as well.
- Responsible dog owners. Less dog waste in other areas of the park and public areas as owners will be more apt to use the dog park and be required to pick up after their dogs. Waste bags will be provided throughout the dog park.
