Welcome to African American Heritage Commission Virtual Meeting Hub. AAHC purpose is to advise the City Council and County Commissioners about the preservation, interpretation, and promotion of African American arts, history and culture.
While we are Staying Home and Staying Safe, the City of Asheville wants you to still have the opportunity to participate.

All voicemail public comment must be received by 5 p.m. Wednesday, October 13 by calling our Toll Free Public Input Line at 855-925-2801 Meeting Code: 9607. Before commenting, please state your name, City of residence, and the specific item.
All comments will be shared with Commission and posted to this page. Comments will be limited to 3 minutes per person per item. Additionally, comments must conform to the City boards & commission's rules of decorum. Those comments that do not may be excluded.
Comments can also be submitted by emailing AfricanAmHeritage@PublicInput.com. The Commission will receive the emailed comments electronically and the comments will be posted on this page, but they will not be read during the Council meeting.
