Planning Committee Meetings
Planning Committee Meetings
The Planning Committee provides professional and technical direction to the GTC Board. With input from sub-committees the Planning Committee reviews and recommends action on all activities and work products that are considered by the GTC Board. Each member of the GTC Board appoints a representative to the Planning Committee. The Planning Committee representative is typically a transportation or planning professional. The Planning Committee meets eight times per year or as required. Each Planning Committee meeting is open to the public and advertised as such through media outlets across the region. A public forum is included at the beginning of all meetings to allow for public comment on meeting agenda items before Planning Committee recommendations to the GTC Board are made.
*Note: The GTC Planning Committee typically meets in person. The location rotates around the region. During the COVID-19 crisis, these meetings are being held virtually and are accessible to all. Anybody wishing to participate may do so via video/audio conferencing, text or chat. All meeting materials are posted on the GTC webpage. If you require additional accommodations to participate in this meeting, please send an e-mail message to [email protected] and we will do our best to meet your needs.
Text Version: We want to make it easy for you to provide input about transportation planning projects and programs despite ability or proficiency in English. On this page, click the button above in the header to translate this page into any of Google Translate languages. Enable closed captioning in the video window to see text. Submit voicemail, email or text comments in any language.
Please note, on September 2, 2021, Governor Hochul signed legislation extending virtual access to meetings under the State Open Meetings Law (OML). Unlike for the GTC Board, our By-Laws do not require the Planning Committee to follow the OML though we have traditionally done so. In the spirit of transparency, we will follow the guidelines previously set by Executive Order 220.1 and this meeting will be recorded. The video and audio recordings of the meeting will be archived and made available for anyone to access at their convenience.
