Get Involved

It was nice meeting and talking with people at our booth at the Genesee County Fair on Wednesday. We had meaningful conversations about highway safety.

Community members shared valuable firsthand observations about roadway safety throughout Genesee County. Residents identified concerns with turning movements at the Oak Street/Park Road intersection, speeding and near misses along Route 77 in Indian Falls, traffic congestion and pedestrian safety during concert events near Colby and Sumner Roads in Darien, and recurring potholes and pavement condition issues, particularly in the Le Roy area. Additional comments highlighted locations with limited sight distance and intersections that people feel are difficult to navigate safely.

The comments, map pins, and conversations collected at the fair will help identify priority safety concerns and inform recommendations as the Genesee County Local Road Safety Plan is developed. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their experiences and ideas for making county and local roads safer for everyone.
