The City of Raleigh Department of City Planning welcomes your input on the proposed text change; TC-12-17 Historic Alley Transitions. Please scroll to the bottom of the page to view images showing an existing alley in Cameron Park, and a rendering of what the proposed text change may look like, if approved, and implemented.
This is a proposal to amend the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) to permit low-scale residential development, such as a townhome, in the transition area that is currently required between buildings in mixed-use and single-family zoning districts that abut an alley. The following questions will help Planning Staff best understand citizen concerns, and understanding of the proposed change that may impact their property, or the area surrounding it. This proposal will be discussed at the regularly scheduled Tuesday, October 16, 2018 City Council meeting, along with the results of the survey, and any public input received and a summary of the meeting held at Jaycee Park.
