Affordable Housing Preservation Public Comments

Fairfax County is developing a Comprehensive Plan policy to encourage the preservation of existing affordable rental housing uses and structures throughout the County, and we want to hear from you!

Now through January 19, 2023 (DEADLINE EXTENDED), submit your thoughts on the proposed Affordable Housing Preservation Comprehensive Plan policy. The proposed policy, provided here, was developed following the Board's endorsement of the Affordable Housing Preservation Task Force's recommendations in 2021. Community feedback on the proposed policy may be submitted using this PublicInput platform, and will be used inform any additional changes to the proposed Comprehensive Plan text. Following this comment period, the plan text and public comments will be provided to the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors for consideration in a series of public hearings in Fall 2022 and Winter 2023.
