Logan Canyon Fiber Optic
Project Overview:
Utility work will take place along shoulders and ditches along US-89 from MP 491 (see image) to 100 W. in Garden City. Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) require a high-speed fiber optic backbone. This project will install fiber conduit and cable for traffic signal and intelligent transportation systems. Route: US-89 / Start Milepost: 491.1 - End Milepost: 498.4
2021 Begin Date: Staging - Aug. 16th; Construction - Aug. 23rd (Starting @ 100 W in Garden City)
Construction Days: (Monday - Saturday), Except Holidays
Construction Times: 7am - 5pm, Some Intermittent Nighttime Operations Possible
Desired Completion Date: Final inspection has been completed May 24th, 2022. A few items remain outstanding and should be completed by early June.
