Final Draft Interpretive Plan
The Draft Plan was presented at the Parks, Recreation & Greenway Advisory Board (PRGAB) Feburay 18, 2021. Additional changes were requested and are being addressed now with insight from the Advisory Committee. For more information on the PRGAB including links to meetings please visit their website. The old draft will be available here for review while we work to finalize the next draft.

Phase 3 - Final Interpretive Plan & Design - Virtual Meeting
Join us virtually via Zoom for a presentation sharing the design that will advance for the installation in June 2021. The recorded meeting is now linked to this Event section.
Phase 2: - Interpretive Plan & Concept Designs
The in person open house event was cancelled due to increased public health concerns. Please review the pre-recorded presentation describing the Interpretive Plan messages and conceptual design ideas. Please leave feedback in our comment area and respond to our survey questions. The feedback period for this phase will end on December 15, 2020.
Phase 1 - Research & Community Engagement Kick-Off
There are many stakeholders vested in the development of the future of John Chavis Memorial Park. Public engagement will build on this strong foundation and include many opportunities to provide feedback during the design process. Methods will include meetings (virtual and in-person), stakeholder discussions, online presence, hard copy distribution for non-computer users, and display of final concept
