The City of Arlington is conducting a study of South Cooper Street, a busy road essential to economic activity in Arlington. The City is studying the existing conditions, opportunities, and needs of the corridor to create a vision to ensure the future success of South Cooper Street.
This website is designed to support the community engagement process for this project.
Project Overview
The study area includes a five-mile section of Cooper Street from UTA Boulevard to Bardin Road, and the project team is looking at:
- Demographics
- Transportation and circulation
- Land use and zoning
- Area market study and economic development recommendations
- Public infrastructure (including flooding and stormwater)
- Aesthetics/appearance recommendations
- Ways to connect and use South Cooper Street as a uniting element for the City and residents
